About us

We are an Episcopal Church though our members come from many different religious backgrounds. We come from Brookline and surrounding towns. We are students and professionals and young families and retired persons. We're all at different stages of our spiritual journey.

We love to socialize, to serve the community with outreach programs like Rosie's Place shelter for women, to support worthy causes like El Hogar, a ministry in Tegucigalpa Honduras, where one of our parishoners, Dr. Barabara McCune, is a missionary.

We love good music and the Episcopal Liturgy.  We enjoy the combination of our Church's history and its place in the modern world, here on the border between Brookline and Boston.

We like to have fun.  We enjoy good company at weekly coffee hour, at "Dinners for Eight", and the annual Church Auction and Dinner.

We like to question things.  We like to explore our faith.  Our weekly adult forums are lively and challenging.  We've discussed scripture, the Episcopal Church, the writings of monks from the middle ages and even the movie "The Matrix."

We're friendly and welcoming, no matter what your religious background. Some of us are lifelong Episcopalians. Others were raised in another denomination or are new churchgoers.  All are welcome at Church of Our Saviour.
