Will you seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving your neighbor as yourself?
"I will, with God’s help."
Will you strive for justice and peace among all people, and respect the dignity of every human being?
"I will, with God’s help."
(from the Baptismal Covenant, Book of Common Prayer, p. 304 – 305)
Our Baptismal Covenant with God reminds us of the gift of life and love we have received and our call to share this Light with the world. The Church as the Body of Christ is not meant to be a place far removed from the world – but very much right in the middle of the world just as Jesus himself lived his life! The Gospels are clear about challenging us to be active responders to the poverty, suffering, violence and oppression all around us in the world.
Missionary
Work
Church of Our Saviour proudly supports the work of Dr. Barbara McCune, a medical missionary working in Honduras.
Rosie’s Place
Church of Our Saviour members regularly cook meals for the women and children at Rosie’s place, a battered women’s shelter in downtown Boston.
Pine Street Inn SRO’s (single room occupancy)
Church Of Our Saviour has established a relationship with several SRO (single room occupancy) properties in Boston and Brookline that are run by Pine Street Inn, and house formerly homeless residents who are in transition. We host dinners and bingo games for these folks.

Brookline Food Pantry
Church of Our Saviour regularly collects donations for the Brookline Food Pantry, serving needy Brookline families and individuals.
Hurricane Katrina Relief
Several Church Of Our Saviour parishoners have travelled to New Orleans to help rebuild after Hurricane Katrina.

Alternative Christmas Market
Church of Our Saviour sponsors an “alternative Christmas Market” each year during Advent. A contrast to the conspicuous consumption of the holiday season, the market raises funds for organizations engaged in social justice ministries -- such as our missionary, Dr. Barbara McCune, the Episcopal Relief Fund, Heifer International and others.
